Our Self-image
Karate at Home is a worldwide, non-commercial community that connects traditional Shōtōkan karate across all styles, associations, nations and generations. We live the principles of Dōjō-Kun – character, sincerity, effort, etiquette, self-control – in digital space as on the mat.
Diversity & Anti-discrimination
We expressly commit ourselves to the principles of the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) and the Diversity Charter. No one is disadvantaged because of gender, sexual identity, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or belief, disability, age, social origin or physical constitution. Women, queer people, people with disabilities and international karateka are expressly welcome.
Integrity & Safe Sport
We do not tolerate any form of violence, sexualized encroachment, bullying, racism, anti-Semitism, homo- or transphobia. Instructors and members commit themselves to the principles of the Safe Sport Code of organized sports in Germany (DOSB). Violations lead to the immediate blocking of the account and, if necessary, to reporting to the competent authorities.
Political Neutrality
Karate at Home is an unpolitical space. Party-political, ideological or religious propaganda has no place here. What connects us is Karate-Dō as a path.
Photo Rules
Whoever uploads images to the member area guarantees that depicted persons agree to the publication. Images must be taken in a Karate-Gi, without any protectors. Recordings showing minors may only be uploaded with the written consent of the legal guardians.

Accessibility
We strive to make the website accessible according to the requirements of WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) (semantic structure, sufficient color contrasts, keyboard navigation, alternative texts). We gratefully accept hints on barriers.
